Take the July Walk Bike Ride Challenge

The City of Seattle invites you and your family and friends to walk, bike and ride more to work, shop and play and cut two car trips a week from July 4 to July 31. Even if you ride the bus to work every day, we’d like to challenge you to push yourself a little further and cut a couple of car trips when shopping or playing.

You can go here and register any time to start cutting trips as early as July 4, Independence Day. Report your two saved car trips each week, or you can report all your weeks at the end of July. Each time you report a week you’ll be entered in a drawing to win great prizes like a $250 gift certificate to REI, one night stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle, free Zipcar membership plus $100 of free usage, or dinner for two at the Georgian in the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

Walk Bike Ride is a multi-year initiative to make walking, biking and riding transit the easiest ways to get around Seattle and to build the healthy, equitable, affordable transportation system Seattle deserves. For more information click here.
