St. Patrick’s Day – Pots o’ Gold, Traveling Green

Looking for some pots o’ gold?   You’ll find these by walking, biking and riding transit.  No rainbows or leprechauns required.

Take the One Less Car Challenge and you’ll earn hundred of dollars in incentives.

Take the Walk Bike Ride Challenge and you could win prizes for Zipcar, Children’s Museum, REI and Ballard Brother’s Seafood, plus our grand prizes – an electric bike from e-Moto or a night stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel.

Use green transportation and save yourself piles of gold.   People in Seattle who walk, bike, use transit and live with fewer cars save nearly $1,000 per month on average.

Congratulations to the lucky winners of the January/February Walk Bike Ride Challenge prize drawing.  Brett W., Tyler S. Marlene M., and Dawn H. won the $100 Zipcar gift certificate, a birthday party at the Children’s Museum, a Monorail Family Four Pack and a $100 REI gift certificate, respectively.

A toast of the Irish goes to the folks in the January/February round of the Walk Bike Ride Challenge.  They converted over 46,000 miles of driving to walking, biking, transit and carpooling – almost enough miles to circle the Earth twice.   Now that’s traveling green.
