This week, crews continued to focus on utility installations on Fairview Avenue N between Harrison Street and Valley Street and pavement removal and grading on the west side of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer Street and Harrison Street.
Activities this week included:
- Continued pavement removal and grading on west side of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer Street and Harrison Street in preparation for rebuilding the roadway.
- Completed concrete installation on Fairview Avenue N between Mercer Street and Valley Street.
- Continued Seattle City Light duct bank work and catch basin installation on the west side of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer and Harrison streets in preparation for rebuilding sections of the roadway.
Traffic engineers will continue to:
- Monitor traffic flow on Mercer Street.
- Monitor traffic flow at the Dexter Avenue N and Mercer Street intersection.
- Plan for the eventual reopening of southbound Fairview Avenue N.
