More new pavement is appearing on Fairview Avenue North as the project progresses.
Last week, crews continued to focus on concrete pavement on the west side of Fairview Avenue North between Mercer Street and Harrison Street and underground electrical work on Fairview Avenue North and Valley Street.
Activities included:
- Continued signal pole and mast arm installation at the intersection of Fairview Avenue North and Mercer Street.
- Continued pavement removal between Valley Street and Mercer Street and continued grading on west side of Fairview Avenue North between Mercer Street and Harrison Street and in preparation for rebuilding the roadway.
- Continued concrete pavement on west side of Fairview Avenue North between Mercer Street and Harrison Street.
- Continued catch basin installation on Roy Street in preparation for rebuilding sections of the roadway.
- Continued Seattle City Light duck bank work on Fairview Avenue North between Mercer Street and Valley Street.
Traffic engineers will continue to:
- Monitor traffic flow on Mercer Street.
- Monitor traffic flow at the Dexter Avenue North and Mercer Street intersection.
