Don’t delay! You have just five more days—until Friday—to submit your FREE application to install a park on Seattle PARK(ing) Day.

On September 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., community groups, businesses, and individuals will be installing their own temporary on-street mini-parks as part of PARK(ing) Day. These fun and unique public spaces are an easy way to engage with your community and highlight the importance of a livable and sustainable city. All Seattleites are invited to apply for a park space in partnership with SDOT.

The first thing you need to do is choose either two mid-block parking spaces on an arterial street, or one mid-block space on a residential street. Then, you should create a basic site plan to show us what you want to do in your park. We have easy-to-follow guidelines on our website, so check them out and make your plans today! Don’t forget to email your application to Jennifer.Wieland@seattle.gov by Friday, August 30.
