An outline of proposed changes at North 34th Street.

You’re invited! On Monday, October 19 from 10 – 11 a.m., SDOT is hosting a drop-in session at the Theo Chocolate Factory, Tour Room (3400 Phinney Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103) to discuss the North 34th Protected Bike Lane Project.

Based on your previous feedback about North 34thProject, we will provide an update summarizing major feedback and our plans for increasing predictability for all who use the corridor.

There are many ways for you to get here:

  • Bus – take bus lines 26, 28, 31, 32, or 40 to the Fremont Avenue North & North 34th Street bus stop. Theo is located two blocks west and one block north from here.
  • Bike – there are plenty of bike racks along N 34th St just east of Fremont Ave N, and near the intersection of Phinney Ave N and N 35th St.
  • Car – there is plenty of nearby street parking available.
  • Sidewalks – if taking to the sidewalks is an option, they’re a great way to get some fresh autumn air.

Construction for this project is tentatively planned to begin by early November. This project is part of the Bicycle Master Plan, which aims to make Seattle a comfortable and accommodating city for bicycle transportation.

For more information on this project, please email Howard Wu at howard.wu@seattle.gov.

We hope to see you there!
