City staff at 2010 Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJI) Summit
SDOT is an active member of the City of Seattle’s Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJI) working to ensure our work is equitable and inclusive. Our staff participated in a workshop with other city departments last week discussing our efforts to improve outreach throughout the city. Among the efforts discussed is our internal public engagement group, shared outreach calendar site, glossary of commonly used transportation words to translate, and outreach performance measures. Last week’s workshop was an opportunity to talk with other city departments about their ideas and efforts to improve how we serve our greatly diverse community. We recognize race and social justice work is continuous and are dedicated to constantly improving our performance.
