This week crews will begin pavement removal and grading on the west side of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer Street and Harrison Street and continuing utility installations on Fairview Avenue N between Harrison Street and Valley Street.
Crews will work a short week from Wednesday, December 26, to Friday, December 28. No work is planned for Saturday, December 29 through Tuesday, January 1. Construction activities will resume on Wednesday, January 2.
Activities this week include:
- Begin pavement removal and grading on west side of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer Street and Harrison Street in preparation for rebuilding the west side of the roadway.
- Continue Seattle City Light duct bank installation, as well as catch basin installation, on the west side of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer and Harrison streets.
Traffic engineers continue to monitor signal timing along the Mercer Corridor, including:
- Monitoring traffic flow on Mercer Street.
- Monitoring traffic flow at the Dexter Avenue N and Mercer Street intersection.
