Learn about the Beacon Hill Bike Route Project at a virtual drop-in session on August 12

We’re building a new bike route in Beacon Hill from the Dr. Jose Rizal Bridge to the intersection of Beacon Ave S and 39th Ave S.

These new bike lanes will serve as major bike thoroughfare in SE Seattle, connecting people from downtown to the City’s southern limit.

This bike route will:

  • Offer bicyclists improvements to increase safety as they travel through southeast Seattle.
  • Enable easier access to bike lanes for people biking from South King County and provide critical infrastructure for people biking in southeast Seattle.
  • Connect people to light rail, transit, and trails as well as some on Beacon Hill’s most popular community destinations.

We want the design to work for everyone who lives and works in the area, including those who love to bike.

Join us for an online early design drop-in session

We’re hosting an online drop-in session to introduce you to the project, gather your feedback, and answer your questions.

Date: Wednesday, August 12

Time: 5 to 6 PM

Location: https://tinyurl.com/BHbikeroute | Password: BeaconHillBike

Presentation transcripts will be available in English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese

To request an interpreter or accommodations for persons with disabilities, please contact (206) 684-0392 at least 5 business days prior to August 12.

Participate in our online early design concept survey

During the event on Wednesday, August 12, we’ll launch a survey that will remain open through Wednesday, August 26. The survey is intended to get a better sense of your travel habits, priorities, and feedback on the route options. Your input will help to inform the next phase of design.

After the online event, we’ll send an email with links to the event recording and the survey. We’ll also post both links to our project webpage
