Thanks to your Levy to Move Seattle tax dollars and our Safe Routes to School program, construction has started on and near 15th Ave S to increase safety for people traveling along this important connection between Beacon Hill and Rainier Valley!
As soon as April 15, S Angeline St will be closed on the east side of 15th Ave S so that crews can complete drainage work and road repairs.
Here’s what to expect:
- There’ll be no through-traffic allowed on S Angeline St between S Columbian Way and 15th Ave S, but 15th Ave S will remain open, and homes on S Angeline St will be accessible from S Columbian Way.
- The typical work hours for this project are 6 am to 6 pm on Mondays through Fridays. Nighttime or weekend work may be required, and construction schedules are subject to change.
- There’ll be sidewalk and crosswalk closures, and pedestrians and cyclists will be directed around the work area.
- There may be noise and dust associated with this work. Crews will do all they can to complete this work as safely and efficiently as possible, and to minimize disruptions to the traveling public.
- The intersection will reopen by the end of April.
