Green Lake and Wallingford neighbors: Starting April 19, we’ll begin paving work on East Green Lake Way N between NE Ravenna Blvd and N 51st St.

In July 2019, as part of the Green Lake and Wallingford Paving and Multimodal Improvements project, we began to make major improvements for people walking, bicycling, rolling, taking transit, and driving in the area. We’re close to completing the project and expect to be finished this summer! This work is made possible through your investment in the Levy to Move Seattle.

Thanks to the warm weather, we’ve been making progress paving different sections of the neighborhood this month. We completed paving on N 80th St today and will begin paving East Green Lake Way next week.

Here’s what you can expect:

Asphalt paving is scheduled to take place on April 19-22 on East Green Lake Way N between NE Ravenna Blvd and N 51st St. During this work, traffic will be restricted to one lane with flaggers to guide travel. Please plan for delays or take alternate routes.

We plan to begin paving East Green Lake Way N and Green Lake Way N from NE Ravenna Blvd to Densmore Ave N starting on Monday, April 26. We anticipate that paving work on this section will be complete by April 30. Once paving is complete, we’ll paint the final lane stripes on both roadways.

This work is highly weather dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.

Paving requires dry and warm weather! If we’re not able to work due to inclement weather, you can expect to see us paving on the next dry and warm day.
