Our first Go SEA! Mobility Fair

On a typical stormy Seattle Saturday afternoon, more than 250 Yesler Terrace community members and residents stayed inside with us and came to our first Go SEA! Mobility Fair.

You might be wondering, what’s a mobility fair?

As part of our Transportation Equity Program, we’re working toward making affordable transportation accessible to everyone. As Seattle grows, it’s important to make sure all our communities continue thriving. We’re tag-teaming with the Seattle Housing Authority and partnering with community organizations to create these fun, informative events. Here, community members can interact with and learn about all their options for moving around Seattle.

At the Yesler Community Center, children turned into Vision Zero super heroes as they safely navigated bike lanes, roundabouts, and crosswalks. Onsite translators provided in-language guidance through the gallery of informational booths. Neighbors learned about resources available in their language, project updates, ORCA card signup, and awesome opportunities like bike share.

But best of all, everyone from all ages, were excited to learn about the accessible and affordable transportation opportunities available right in their neighborhood.
