The City of Seattle is pleased to announce the selection of Central Waterfront Partners as the project management/engineering team for Seattle’s Central Waterfront project. This project management/ engineering team will now combine with our recently selected design team, headed by james corner field operations, to jointly design and build the new waterfront.
Central Waterfront Partners is led by Shiels Obletz Johnson; CH2M Hill; Parsons Brinckerhoff; and Parametrix. This team possesses significant experience in managing complex urban building and transportation projects, to include SR519, the Alaskan Way Viaduct and Central Link Light Rail. A panel of city departmental representatives and outside experts, including james corner field operations, recommended them and the director of the Seattle Department of Transportation made the final selection.

Design work will begin in October 2010 with a conceptual design expected in 2012 and a final design to be delivered in 2015. Construction of the Central Waterfront is scheduled from 2016 to 2018.
