And the Winner Is…

Back in February we reported on an anti-distracted driving video contest sponsored by the Aurora Traffic Safety Project, the Washington Traffic Safety Commission and State Farm Insurance. The contest, known as the $248 Challenge, invited students at all local high schools to develop videos that displayed the dangers of this behavior.

Students were given more than a month to put together a video.  After all the entries were received, one stood out for being original and creative while effectively conveying the message that texting while driving just isn’t worth it.

Here’s the winning video titled “The Last Text” by Ingraham High School student August, class of 2014.  The stunt driving was performed by his parents who also supervised the entire production. It should be noted that August will be using his winnings to purchase an HD video camera and pursue a passion for film making.

Enjoy!
