Goats happily eating their way up the steep Pine Street hillside.
Back by popular demand, 70 goats returned at 3 p.m. today to trim down the vegetation on the steep hillside adjacent to the Pine Street Hillclimb stairs below the Pike Place Market.
If you’d like to come and watch our live mowers in action, you can view them from Alaskan Way at Pine Street. During the weeklong operation, while the goats will be hard at work munching away, the stairs will be closed and pedestrians will be directed to Pike Street.
