The Many Ways to Stay Connected

One of SDOT’s top priorities is to keep the public informed about construction, road conditions, special events, upcoming projects, and anything else that might impact your lives and we have a number of avenues to keep you in the loop.

For starters, our website is full of extremely useful information.  Whether you’re interested in up-to-the-minute road conditions, winter weather updates, or looking for information about parking or traffic calming, you’ll find it here.  Our website is also a portal that will connect you to the transportation information you need most.

Twitter

SDOT uses Twitter to get information out fast. Our Traffic Management Center tweets when there are incidents on our streets, bridge openings, signal outages, and whenever travelers need information quickly.

Facebook

You’ll surely like staying connected to SDOT via Facebook. We update our status regularly with important info about major projects, events, and opportunities for public involvement.

Be the first to know about planned road closures, detours, or just stay up-to-date on our progress by subscribing to project specific email lists.  From the Spokane Street Project to the 85th Street Paving Project, many of our projects feature email alerts.  You can also sign up for Area Specific Alerts to stay in the know about activities in your neighborhood.

Podcasts

SDOT uploads podcasts for your enjoyment regularly.  Topics range from project-specific to more philosophical discussions about transportation choices.
