This week, the crews’ primary focus will be continued electrical transmission work on Mercer Street, and roadway reconstruction on Fairview Avenue N.
Activities this week include:
- Continue electrical and sign bridge foundation work near I-5 on-and off-ramps, including nighttime lane restrictions on the I-5 on- and off-ramps at Mercer Street through Thursday, October 11.
- Continue electrical transmission cable pull on Mercer Street which involves a temporary lane revision on Mercer Street west of Ninth Avenue N.
- Continue electrical work on Mercer which involves a single lane closure on the north side of Mercer Street on Monday and Tuesday.
- Continue installing and preparing electrical vaults for new electrical conduit on Fairview Avenue N.
- Continue pavement removal and grading in preparation for rebuilding sections of Fairview Avenue N.
- Pave future westbound roadway at Broad Street and Mercer Street.
This week, traffic engineers will monitor:
- Traffic flow on Mercer Street.
- Traffic flow at the intersection of Dexter Avenue N and Mercer Street.
