This week, the crew’s primary focus will be pavement removal and grading on Fairview Avenue N and continued electrical work on Fairview Avenue N and Valley St.
Activities this week include:
- Continue pavement removal and grading in preparation for rebuilding sections of Fairview Avenue N.
- Continue electrical and sign bridge foundation work near I-5 on-and off-ramps.
- Continue electrical transmission cable work near Fairview Avenue N and Roy Street.
- Continue installing and preparing electrical vaults for new electrical conduit on Fairview Avenue N.
- Install underground communication lines on Fairview Avenue N between Valley Street and Mercer Street
- Install artwork in median of Mercer Street on Sunday, October 21. This work will require one eastbound and two westbound lanes on Mercer Street between Fairview Avenue N and Terry Avenue N to be closed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
This week, traffic engineers will monitor:
- Traffic flow on Mercer Street.
- Traffic flow at Dexter Avenue N and Mercer Street intersection.
