Fairview Avenue North, Duct Work
This week, the crews on the Mercer Corridor Project primarily focused on pavement removal, grading and sidewalk demolition on Fairview Avenue N.Activities this week included:
- Continued pavement removal and grading in preparation for rebuilding sections of Fairview Avenue N. Work was located between Republican and Harrison streets.
- Began pouring concrete pavement for the new roadway on Fairview N between Republican and Harrison streets.
- Continued installing underground communication lines on Fairview Avenue N between Valley and Mercer streets.
- Began sidewalk removal and pole foundation installation on Fairview Avenue N.
- Continued installation of catch basins on Valley Street and Fairview Avenue N.
This week, traffic engineers continued to monitor:
- Traffic flow on Mercer Street.
- Traffic flow at Dexter Avenue N and Mercer Street intersection.
