This week, crews primarily focused on pavement removal, grading and sidewalk demolition on Fairview Avenue N north of Mercer St, pouring concrete roadway on Fairview Avenue N south of Mercer St, and continued electrical work. Activities this week included:
- Continued pavement removal and grading in preparation for rebuilding sections of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer and Valley streets.
- Continued pouring concrete roadway on the east side of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer and Harrison streets.
- Continued installing underground communication lines on Fairview Avenue N between Valley and Mercer streets.
- Continued sidewalk removal and pole foundation installation on Fairview Avenue N between Mercer and Republican streets.
- Work on the median and cast in place wall for the I-5 on- and off-ramps at Mercer Street was shifted to the week of November 12. This work will be located out of traffic and will not require lane restrictions on the I-5 on- and off-ramps at Mercer Street.
Traffic engineers will:
- Monitor traffic flow on Mercer Street.
- Monitor traffic flow at the Dexter Avenue N and Mercer Street intersection.
- Continue planning for the eventual reopening of southbound Fairview Ave N.

Crews are currently pouring concrete pavement on Fairview Avenue North.
