Missed the SR 520 Open Houses? Good news – the materials are available online

The Washington State Department of Transportation (SDOT) SR 520 project team has posted the materials from the public open houses in Bellevue and Seattle on Feb. 5 and 6. So, if you missed the meetings or if you’d like to revisit the information, you can access the information via the project library at: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/SR520Bridge/Library/meeting.htm#OH

Here you will find the 66 display boards shared at the open house. The boards include updates about construction work under way and detailed plans for the next major construction phase that begins in summer 2014: the west approach bridge north.

You can also watch the open house highlights video, which compiles a mix of construction footage –from pontoons in Aberdeen, to girders on the Eastside, to new piers being built on the shores of Lake Washington, and combines it with clips of the open houses and project updates from the managers who are making it all happen.

Details about the new SR 520 can be found at www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/sr520bridge.

Also if you are interested in I-90 and possible tolling between Seattle and Bellevue, WSDOT is still seeking comments. To submit comments, visit WSDOT’s online public scoping page to learn more about I-90 tolling and comment online. You can also still mail your comments to Angela Angove at 999 3rd Avenue, Suite 2200, Seattle, WA 98104. But hurry, the public comment period ends this week on Friday, February 22. An additional comment period will follow the release of the environmental assessment report next fall.
