This week, crews are focusing on concrete pavement installation on Fairview Avenue N between Valley Street and Mercer Street and sidewalk restoration on Fairview Avenue N between Harrison Street and Mercer Street.
Activities this week include:
- Continue signal installation at Republican Street and Fairview Avenue N.
- Continue concrete pavement installation on Fairview Avenue N between Valley Street and Mercer Street in preparation for rebuilding the roadway.
- Sidewalk installation on Fairview north of Valley and also on Roy Street.
- Continue Seattle City Light duct bank work on Valley Street.
- Continue conduit and handhole installation for future street lights on west sides of Fairview Avenue N between Mercer Street and Harrison Street.
- Continue cast in place wall installation on the north side of the I-5 off-ramps.
Traffic engineers continue to:
- Monitor traffic flow on Mercer Street.
- Monitor traffic flow at the Dexter Avenue N and Mercer Street intersection.
- Prepare for the full opening of Fairview Avenue N.
