Going for a run or stroll on your lunch break, or just dropping into downtown to shop or sightsee?  Want to grab a bite to eat and keep on going? The city is now adding two more sites to a long list of conveniently located places where you can order food-on-the-go.

In addition to nearly 60 existing sites, of which many are occupied by multiple vendors, the newest locations being added for four more mobile food vendors are located at Fourth and Pine adjacent to the ever-popular Westlake Park and on the Pike Street Hillclimb Plaza midway between downtown and the waterfront.   The city hopes to have these four vending sites up and running by August. All part of the city’s effort to create vibrant public spaces, the sites are chosen where there is a high volume of pedestrians. At some locations the vendors are present year-round and at many of these street food spots the vendors rotate from day to day.  Some sites serve food seven days a week and others only have service on weekdays.

If you’re interested in sampling the array of food at the many locations around town, or in finding those established nearest to where you’re going, there’s a list of all the vendors and locations on our mobile vendor website.  So visit our website, find a vendor on a corner near you, and get out there – they’re waiting to serve you!

Special Note:  At the newest locations there are still openings for food vendors, so if you are a vendor there’s still a chance to apply for a slot – but hurry, the selection is made on a “first come first served” basis. These permits are available until all the days have been filled. Please visit the Street Use website for more information and all the application details.
