mercer_logo_200This week, crews continued sidewalk work on the south side of Mercer Street between Queen Anne Avenue North and Third Avenue North. Construction activities also continued on the north side of Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North and the east side of SR 99 between Valley and Harrison streets.

Activities this week included:

  • Began preparatory work on SR 99 and Mercer Street in advance ofthis weekend’s traffic switch
  • Continued sidewalk work and conduit installation on the south side of Mercer Street between Queen Anne Avenue North and Third Avenue North and on the north side of Mercer Street between Queen Anne Avenue North and Fourth Avenue North.
  • Continued landscaping installation on Westlake Avenue North and Valley Street.
  • Continued sidewalk improvements on Roy Street at Fifth Avenue North.
  • Continued installing concrete panels on the north retaining wall on Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.
  • Continued installing utilities on the south side of Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Aurora Avenue North.
  • Continued work on the north and south ends of the east side of the SR 99 bridge.

Please note, this weekend, SR 99 and eastbound Mercer Street will be fully closed to traffic beginning tonight, December 6 at 11:59 p.m. to Monday, December 9 at 5:00 a.m. as Mercer Corridor Project crews shift traffic from the western side of the SR 99 bridge over Mercer Street to the newly constructed eastern portion of the bridge.
