Mercer Corridor Project – Weekly Construction Wrap-up

This week, crews completed work along the west side of Westlake Avenue North and Ninth Avenue North and sawcutting near the intersection of Fifth Avenue West and West Mercer Street.  Construction activities also continued on the north side of Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North and the east side of SR 99 between Valley and Harrison streets.

Activities this week included:

  • Completed sidewalk repair and installation along the western side of Westlake Avenue North and Ninth Avenue North.
  • Completed pavement sawcutting near the intersection of Fifth Avenue West and West Mercer Street in anticipation of drainage work in early January.
  • Continued installation of an underground storm water detention system on Mercer Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues.
  • Continued sidewalk work and conduit installation on the south side of Mercer Street between Queen Anne Avenue North and Third Avenue North and on the north side of Mercer Street between Queen Anne Avenue North and Fourth Avenue North.

  • Continued landscaping installation on Westlake Avenue North and Valley Street.
  • Continued installing concrete panels on the north retaining wall on Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.
  • Continued installing utilities on the south side of Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Aurora Avenue North.
  • Continued work on the north and south ends of the east side of the SR 99 bridge.
