  • Begin drainage work on the north side of West Mercer Street near Fifth Avenue West.
  • Begin installation of lateral storm water connection lines under roadway on Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.

Fifth Avenue North will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Harrison Street and Roy Street during off-peak travel times, between approximately 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Beginning as early as today, crews will close westbound West Mercer Street between Fourth Avenue West and Fifth Avenue West to accommodate deep drainage work. During this work, Westbound West Mercer Street between Fourth Avenue West and Fifth Avenue West will be fully closed through the morning of Friday, January 10. Westbound traffic on West Mercer Street will be detoured south on Fourth Avenue West and then westbound on Harrison Street to reconnect to Elliot Avenue West.
  • Beginning Tuesday, January 7 through Friday, January 10, the far left lane on eastbound Mercer Street will be closed between Boren Avenue North and onto the I-5 on-ramps at Mercer Street during off-peak hours, 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Two lanes of the I-5 on-ramps will remain open at all times.
