Summer is in full swing! Enjoy food and drinks, sports games, and other cultural events across Seattle this weekend. Be aware of the following events in the city that may affect area traffic.

 

TUE. JUL 16

Jon Bellion concert at WaMu Theater.  Show hours: 7PM – 11:30PM.  Doors at 6PM. Estimated attendance is 7,000.

 

 

WED. JUL 17

Seattle Sounders vs. Borussia Dortmund at CenturyLink Field. Kickoff: 7:30PM.  Estimated attendance is 35,000.

 

 

THU. JUL 18

Muckleshoot Canoe Hosting. Annual Native American traditional canoe gathering that takes place along the west coast of Washington & Canada.  The Muckleshoot Tribe will host the canoes at Alki Beach.   Canoes will begin arriving around Noon on Thursday and leave by Noon on Friday.  Estimated attendance is 1,000.

 

The Raconteurs concert at WaMu Theater.  Show hours: 8PM – 11PM.  Doors at 7PM. Estimated attendance is 7,000.

 

 

FRI. JUL 19

Bite of Seattle at Seattle Center. Seattle’s largest food and beverage showcase, featuring 200+ food and specialty vendors, craft beer & cider tasting, live entertainment stages, local chef demonstrations and cook-offs, beer gardens featuring both local beers and spirits, signature cocktails, and much more!  Festival hours are 11AM to 9PM Friday.  Estimated attendance is 40,000.

 

Muckleshoot Canoe Hosting. Capitol Hill Block Party. Annual, 3-day music festival and block party held each July in the heart of Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.  Event will close E. Pike St. between Broadway and 12th Ave, and 10th Ave. and 11th Ave. between E. Union St. and E. Pine St.  Event hours are 3PM to 11:59PM Friday.  Estimated attendance is 9,000.

 

Seattle Mariners vs. LA Angels at T-Mobile Park.  First Pitch: 7:10PM.  Estimated attendance is 15,000.

 

 

SAT. JUL 20

Refuse to Abuse 5K. Fundraiser to benefit the Washington Coalition Against Domestic Violence.  5K will start on sidewalks outside T-Mobile Park, and finish inside on the ball field.  9AM – 11AM.  Estimated attendance is 2,000.

 

Float Dodger 5K. Run will proceed south on California Ave. SW, using the same route as the West Seattle Grand Parade.  Event hours: 9:30AM – 11AM.  Estimated attendance is 570.

 

West Seattle Grand Parade. Annual Seafair sponsored parade on California Ave. SW between SW Lander St. and SW Edmunds St.  Event hours are 11AM to 1:30PM.  Estimated attendance is 2,500.

Denny Substation Community Celebration. Celebrate the completion of the new Denny Substation, the first and largest of its kind in 30 years.  At 1251 John St.  Event hours: 11AM – 2PM.  Estimated attendance is 520.

Seattle Night Market: Europe. Monthly Night Market closes 9th Ave. N. between Denny Way and Thomas St.  Market hours are 4PM – 10PM.  Estimated attendance is 2,500.

 

Seattle Mariners vs. LA Angels. At T-Mobile Park.  First Pitch: 6:10PM.  Estimated attendance is 22,000.

 

 

SUN. JUL 28

Seafair Triathlon. Seattle’s only triathlon, taking place on the shores of Lake Washington at Seward Park.  Event hours are 7AM to 1PM.  Estimated attendance is 1,300.
