The Sesquicentennial celebration kicked off October 17 with Mayor Durkan launching a commemorative book, Seattle at 150: Stories of the City Through 150 Objects from the Seattle Municipal Archives, produced in partnership with HistoryLink. A digital version is also available.

Seattle History trivia event, co-sponsored by Council-member Pacheco, on October 24 at The Dock in Fremont. This event is a 21+ ONLY.
- Archives Fair, celebrating historical resources in the Puget Region, on October 30 at Seattle City Hall in Bertha Knight Landes from 10 AM— 2 PM
