Seattle Youth Climate Strike: Local chapter of a global youth-led event to address climate change will rally at Lake Union Park from 11 AM to Noon, and then march to City Hall.  A rally at City Hall from 1 – 3 PM will follow.  Estimated attendance: 4k.

 

Snow Day South Lake Union Grand Opening Party: Lights, entertainment, food trucks, winter market, and more!  Grand Opening Party is Friday, December 6th, from 4 – 9 PM.  Winter Lights Display continues daily through January 20, 2020.  Estimated attendance: 2.5k.

 

Winter Beer Festival:  Park’s Hanger 30.  Session hours: 5:30 – 9:30 PM.  Estimated attendance: 900.

 

Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition: Annual holiday music event benefiting the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank.  Event will close Pine St. from 7th to 4th Ave, and 5th Ave, from Olive Way to Pike St.  Event hours: 6  – 8:30 PM.  Estimated attendance: 9k.

 

Pacific Northwest Ballet Presents George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker: McCaw Hall.  Performance at 7:30 PM.  Estimated attendance: 3k.

20th Anniversary of WTO Protests: 10 AM rally in Occidental Park to recall the WTO protests in 1999, followed by a march at 11:15 AM from Occidental Park to the Federal Building on 2nd & Madison.  Seattle Police Department will escort the march.  Estimated attendance: 750.

 

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas Celebration: Seattle Police Department will escort this annual religious procession from St. Mary Church (20th Ave. & S. Weller) to St. James Cathedral (9th Ave. & Marion St).  Event hours: 10:30 AM – 12 PM. Estimated attendance: 960.

 

Winter Beer Festival: Magnuson Park’s Hanger 30.  5:30 – 9:30 PM.  Estimated attendance: 900.

 

West Seattle Hometown Holiday Tree Lighting and Night Market: Holiday Night Market will feature a full music and entertainment line-up, with the finale – the annual tree lighting at 6 PM.  Event will close SW Alaska St. between 42nd Ave. SW and California Ave. SW from 12  – 10 PM.  Event hours are 3 – 7 PM.  Estimated attendance: 560.

Seattle Jingle Bell Run: Annual fundraiser for Arthritis Foundation.  Course will start at 5th & Pike, go south on 5th onto the I-5 Express Lanes at Columbia St, and return to the finish at 6th Ave. via 9th Ave. and Pine St.  Event Hours: 8 – 11 AM.  Estimated attendance: 6.7k.

ONGOING EVENTS:

 

Enchant Christmas – Mischievous: From Enchant Christmas comes “Mischievous,” an all-new adventure! Enchant Christmas will include an all-new Christmas Light Maze, new locally curated food and Christmas Market experiences created in collaboration with Urban Craft Uprising, an ice-skating trail, nightly live entertainment, and much more.  Event dates: December 3 – 29 (*Enchant Christmas will be closed December 9th).  Show hours are 4 – 10 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 4 – 11 PM Friday to Sunday.  Estimated attendance: 5k – 10k per day.
