Seattle Opera presents Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin: McCaw Hall.  Show hours: 7:30  – 11 PM.  Estimated attendance: 3k.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday March: Annual McDonald International School student march through the SE Green Lake neighborhood.  Participants will remain on sidewalks.  Event hours: 8:20 – 9:30 AM.  Estimated attendance: 530.

 

MLK March for Peace and Justice: Annual student march from Giddens School (2120 21st Ave. S) to MLK Jr. Memorial Park (2200 MLK Jr. Way S).  SPD will escort.  Event hours: 10  – 11:30 AM.  Estimated attendance: 500.

Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth March and Celebration: Annual youth march from MLK Jr. Memorial Park (2200 MLK Jr. Way S) to Rainier Community Center (4600 38th Ave. S) via MLK Jr. Way S.  and Rainier Ave. S.  SPD will escort.  Event hours: 9 AM – 5 PM.  Estimated attendance: 2.7k.

 

Ethiopian Orthodox Churches – Epiphany Celebration March: SPD will escort religious procession from St. Gabriel Ethiopian Orthodox Church (940 26th Ave S) to Kings Hall (2929 27th Ave. S).  Route: south on 26th Ave. S, east on S. Judkins St, south on MLK Jr. Way S, west on S. McClellan St, south on Rainier Ave. S, west on S. Forest St, south on 27th Ave. S to King’s Hall.  Event hours: 4:30 – 6:30 PM.  Estimated attendance: 800.

 

JAUZ – Dangerous Waters Tour: WaMu Theater.  Show hours: 7 – 10:30 PM.  Estimated attendance: 7k.
