What’s happening in Seattle September 18 – 30: Oktoberfest, sports, and construction

Summer officially ends September 23rd, but we’ve got just a couple more events to keep on your radar as we close out the season!

Top Events 

Fremont Oktoberfest

For everyone 21 and up, Fremont Oktoberfest will take place September 22 – 24 between Phinney Ave N and 1st Ave NW and N 35th St and N Canal St. These streets will be closed for the event during those days so if you regularly travel through this area, make sure to plan ahead and expect traffic.  

For people going to the fest, it is easily accessible by transit with King County Metro buses.

  • September 23: Washington Huskies, 7:30 PM (Husky Stadium) 
  • September 24: Seahawks, 1:05 PM (Lumen Field) 
  • September 25: Mariners, 6:40 PM (T-Mobile Park) 
  • September 26: Mariners, 6:40 PM (T-Mobile Park) 
  • September 27: Mariners, 6:40pm (T-Mobile Park) 
  • September 28: Mariners, 6:40 PM (T-Mobile Park) 
  • September 29: Mariners, 7:10 PM (T-Mobile Park) 
  • September 30: Mariners, 6:40 PM (T-Mobile Park) 

Travelers around the stadium district should plan for delays before and after games. If you plan to go to a game, please consider taking transit, as the stadiums are served by light rail (Stadium Station) and by a variety of bus routes

Ongoing: 

Weeknight (Mon – Thurs) closures of Montlake Blvd. on-ramp to eastbound SR520. 10PM to 6AM nightly through December 2023.
