The Seattle Times submitted a number of reader questions about transportation related work around the city. Reader comment: “Edge of the sidewalk was not at the same level as the street and the sidewalk was torn up and redone.”
This is an example of rework by a private contractor. SDOT Street Use inspectors noticed the contractor error and required improvements. The private contractor paid for the rework.
