NE 45th St. Viaduct Wooden Timber Structure
The NE 45th Street viaduct’s existing west approach is nearing the end of its structural life and needs to be replaced to maintain a safe and efficient travel corridor. The replacement will require the closure of the NE 45th Street viaduct to all traffic, pedestrians and bicycles from June 14 – September 10, 2010. During the closure period, traffic will be rerouted on a clearly signed detour route that uses major arterial streets north and south of NE 45th Street.
