Taking it to the Streets!

Enjoy Your Street to the Fullest!

Question:  Where can you go this Saturday to watch a parade, shoot some hoops, enjoy cuisine from around the world, learn how to compost, take in a choir, and see the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace?

Answer:  Right in the middle of Rainier Avenue S between S Alaska Street and S Brandon St!

You’re eyes are not deceiving you. The City of Seattle is opening Rainier Ave S this Saturday, August 21st, from 11 AM to 3 PM for the Rainier Valley rendition of Seattle Summer Streets.  Come out and watch the Rainier Valley Heritage Parade at 11 AM then stay and play in the streets afterwards.

This will be a truly unique event full of interesting activities and delicious food.  Check out the Seattle Summer Streets website for more information and a map of all the action and be sure to visit the Summer Streets Facebook page for interesting tidbits about the people and organizations that will make this such a special event.

Perhaps the real question is why would you be anywhere else?
