Meet us on the waterfront, and get ready to learn about the seawall beneath your feet. This Saturday, September 11, you can learn about the Elliott Bay Seawall Project while you are standing on the seawall!

Please join Elliot Bay Seawall Project staff on Saturday, September 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to walk the waterfront and learn about unique aspects of the Elliott Bay Seawall Project and project design opportunities. Participants can take a self-guided tour and talk to project staff to learn about the project need and potential opportunities. In addition to hearing what might be possible in different areas, you’ll get an understanding of the existing conditions the seawall team is taking into account during the planning/design process. Opportunities to provide comments about the project will be available onsite.

Participants can begin the tour in the vicinity of Pier 48 (Alaskan Way and Washington Street) or Pier 59 (Alaskan Way and Pike Street)—tour locations will be marked with signs and balloons—and walk the waterfront at your own pace. Or, you can join a guided tour leaving from Pier 48 at 9:15 a.m. or Pier 59 at 11:15 a.m. Informational packets with maps will be available at both piers.
