Here’s one example of how SDOT crews have been hard at work this year fixing our sidewalks. This month in Rainier Beach, SDOT staff repaired a sidewalk and curb on the northeast and southeast corners of Waters Ave S at S Fletcher St.
The community now has a much better walking environment, a safer surface, an accessible ramp on both sides of S Fletcher St, better connections to the route 7 bus stop across the street and certainly a much more handsome sidewalk.
This project and many others are funded by the Bridging the Gap levy approved by Seattle voters in 2006.
