Underground utility work on Valley Street

mercer_logo_200This week, crews will continue to work on underground utilities on Valley Street, Broad Street and Westlake Avenue N north of Mercer Street and signal installations at Dexter Avenue N, Broad Street and 5th Avenue N.

Activities this week include:

  • Continue sewer work on Westlake Avenue N and Broad Street.
  • Continue Seattle City Light and communications duct bank work on Valley Street between Terry Avenue N and Westlake Avenue N.
  • Continue landscaping installation on Fairview Avenue N between Valley Street and Mercer Street and on the south side of the I-5 on-ramps at Mercer Street.
  • Continue traffic signal installations at the intersections of Dexter Avenue N and Republican Street, Broad and Harrison Street and signal modifications at 5th Avenue N and Harrison Street.
  • Continue sidewalk removal and utility modifications on SR 99 between Roy and Harrison Streets.

Traffic engineers will continue to:

  • Monitor traffic on Mercer Street and on Fairview Avenue N.
  • Monitor traffic at the Westlake Avenue N and Mercer Street intersection.
  • Monitor traffic flow at the Dexter Avenue N and Mercer Street intersection.
