NE 125th / Sand Point Way NE is Done! Whadya’ think?

Seattle’s Arterial Asphalt & Concrete Program has struck again, with completion of another paving project. The NE 125th Street / Sand Point Way NE Project repaved nearly five miles of roadway – Roosevelt Way NE and NE 125th Street between Interstate 5 and Sand Point Way, and Sand Point Way NE between NE 125th and 77th Streets. But there are few more things to do: 1. celebrate and 2. get public feedback on the effort.

1. First things first, click the postcard image below for celebration details, or just note that the event is next Thursday, October 10th, 2:30-6:00 p.m. at the Lake City Farmer’s Market on 28th Avenue NE (just north of NE 125th in front of the Lake City Library). 125nePostcard_Page_1Project team members will be on hand to thank the community for patience and support during the mid-June to October 3rd (yes, today) construction. The project was divided into five zones, three of which were on Sand Point Way NE, with no southbound traffic possible in one or another of the zones since the project started. We realize that was difficult. Hence, crews worked both nights and weekends at times to expedite the process.

2. With only a few “punch-list” (no, don’t hit us) items to complete, we’re asking residents and business owners in the area to answer a survey. To give feedback please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PWQ6ZVN and answer questions about how the project impacted you and what communications tools worked best. The more we know, the more you and others might know in the future – about our projects that is!

Thanks again all, and see you at the party!
