Weekly Construction Wrap Up

mercer_logo_200Work continued this week on the north side of Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North and the west side of SR 99 between Valley and Harrison streets. Construction also continued on Mercer Street at Fifth Avenue North and daytime lane restrictions on Mercer Street continued to accommodate lateral storm water connections beneath the roadway.

Activities this week include:

  •  Continued the installation of a temporary signal system at the intersection of Mercer Street and Dexter Avenue North.
  • Continued utility work beneath the roadway on Fifth Avenue North between Harrison Street and Roy Street.
  • Continued installation of lateral storm water connection lines under roadway on Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.
  • Continued sidewalk work and conduit installation on the south side of Mercer Street between Queen Anne Avenue North and Third Avenue North and on the north side of Mercer Street between Queen Anne Avenue North and Fourth Avenue North.
  • Continued installing concrete panels on the north retaining wall on Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.
  • Continued installing utilities on the south side of Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Aurora Avenue North.
  • Continued work on the north and south ends of the west side of the SR 99 bridge.

Please note: One left turn lane from northbound Fifth Avenue North onto westbound Roy Street and the far right lane of westbound Roy Street between Fifth Avenue North and Fourth Avenue North will be closed through Saturday afternoon to accommodate pavement installation within the roadway. The far right lane of southbound Fifth Avenue North between Valley Street and Roy Street will remain closed through Monday, February 3 for related activities.
