Phew! It’s been a warm couple of days. We hope you are staying cool out there and enjoying the many summer festivities. The following events may cause increased traffic, so please plan accordingly.

 

T U E. JUL 23

 

Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers: T-Mobile Park.  First pitch: 7:10 PM.  Estimated attendance: 14k.

 

Beast Coast: Escape from New York Tour: WaMu Theater.  Show hours: 7 – 11 PM.  Doors at 6 PM. Estimated attendance: 7k.

 

W E D. JUL 24

 

Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers: T-Mobile Park.  First pitch: 12:40 PM.  Estimated attendance: 27k.

 

$uicideboy$: Grey Day Tour: At WaMu Theater.  Show hours: 6:30 – 10 PM.  Doors at 5:30 PM. Estimated attendance: 7k.

 

Greenwood Seafair Parade: 70th annual Greenwood Seafair Parade will start at 6 PM with a kiddie’s parade, followed by the Grand Parade at 6:30 PM.  Parade route will follow Greenwood Ave. N. from N. 95th to N. 85th St, then west on 85th to 6th Ave. NW.  Event hours are 6 – 8 PM.  Estimated attendance is 3.5k.

 

T H U. JUL 25

 

Muckleshoot Canoe Hosting: Annual Native American traditional canoe gathering that takes place along the west coast of Washington & Canada.  The Muckleshoot Tribe will host the canoes at Alki Beach.   Canoes will begin arriving around Noon on Thursday and leave by Noon on Friday.  Estimated attendance: 4,300.

 

Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers: T-Mobile Park.  First pitch: 7:10PM.  Estimated attendance: 16,000.

 

21 Savage: I Am > I Was Tour: WaMu Theater.  Show hours: 8 – 11 PM.  Doors at 7 PM. Estimated attendance: 7k.

 

F R I. JUL 26

 

Muckleshoot Canoe Hosting: Annual Native American traditional canoe gathering that takes place along the west coast of Washington & Canada.  The Muckleshoot Tribe will host the canoes at Alki Beach.   Canoes will begin arriving around Noon on Thursday and leave by Noon on Friday.  Estimated attendance: 4.3k.

 

Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers: At T-Mobile Park.  First pitch: 7:10 PM.  Estimated attendance: 22k.

 

S A T. JUL 27

 

Alki Art Fair: Alki Beach summer festival celebrating art & music.  Fair hours are 10 AM – 6 PM Saturday (music continues until 9 PM). Estimated attendance: 9k.

 

SLU Saturday Market: Weekly Market closes 9th Ave. N. between Denny Way and John St.  Market hours are 11 AM – 4 PM Saturday.  Estimated attendance: 2.5k.

 

Othello Block Party: Street Fair celebrating the vibrant local music, visual arts and international community of South Seattle.  Event will close 42nd Ave. S. between S. Myrtle St. and S. Othello St.  Event hours are 12 – 10 PM.  Estimated attendance: 450.

 

Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers: T-Mobile Park.  First pitch: 1:10 PM.  Estimated attendance: 24k.

 

Seafair Torchlight Run: 5K and 8K runs will start and end at Seattle Center and will run along the Torchlight Parade route on 4th Avenue.  Event hours are 6 – 7:30 PM.  Estimated participants: 3k.

 

Seafair Torchlight Parade: In its 70th year, the Seafair Torchlight Parade continues to highlight and celebrate traditions in Greater Seattle’s diverse cultural landscape as well as start new traditions, welcoming those new to the Seattle area. The 2019 parade will feature entries both old and new and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser on this momentous year.  The parade begins at the Seattle Center and continues down 4th Ave. to S. Washington St.  Event hours are 7:30 – 11 PM.  Estimated attendance: 150k.

 

S U N. JUL 28

 

Alki Art Fair: Alki Beach summer festival celebrating art & music.  Fair hours are 10 AM – 6 PM Sunday. Estimated attendance: 9k.

 

Pista sa Nayon: 30th Annual celebration at Seattle’s Seward Park.  Event celebrates the heritage and traditions of the culture of the Philippines.  Event hours are 10 AM – 7 PM.  Estimated attendance: 8k.

 

St. Gebreal Ethiopian Orthodox Church Annual Celebration: Event will close 26th Ave. S. between S. Norman St. and S. Charles St.  Event hours: 10 AM – 2 PM.  Estimated attendance: 1k.
