So you’ve made an appointment to get your COVID-19 vaccination. How are you going to get there?
As of May 13, 2021, anyone 12 years-old or older is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in Washington State!
The City of Seattle and its partners are administering COVID-19 vaccines at three sites in Seattle: West Seattle, Rainier Beach, and the Lumen Field Event Center. All people 12 years-old or older who live or work in King County can sign up for an appointment or walk in at any of these locations for a COVID-19 vaccination.

Here’re some free ways to get to your COVID-19 vaccination appointments:
- Gig car share |Gig car share will reimburse up to an hour of drive time for people to get to and from their COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Fill out their online form to process the reimbursement within 24 hours after your appointment.
- Lime bikes and scooters | People who use Lime scooters or bikes to get to or from their COVID-19 vaccination appointment through the end of May can get two rides for free (up to 15 minutes each) by entering the promo code SEARIDETORECOVERY.
- LINK scooters | LINK scooter share is offering free rides to and from COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Once you have an appointment scheduled, make sure you have a LINK account, then apply here for a free scooter ride before your appointment.
- Sound Transit Link light rail or bus |Sound Transit is offering free Link light rail and bus rides to and from COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Seattle’s Lumen Field Event Center vaccination site is a short walk from the Stadium and Chinatown/International District stations. For a free ride, you just need to show proof of your appointment. Remember, all Sound Transit passengers must wear face coverings and follow social distance guidelines.
- Walk, roll, or ride your bike! | It’s always free to use your own person-power and walk, roll, skip, dance, or ride your own bikes or scooters.
Many vaccination sites, including all four of Seattle’s locations, offer free parking. Check with your vaccine provider for specific parking information.
Learn about King County Metro options to get to your vaccine appointments. In addition to Metro bus routes, they’ve expanded Access Paratransit bus service to COVID-19 vaccine appointments and have community van and on-demand ride services.
Scooter, bike, and car share companies are required to take extra precautions to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.
- Companies are required to sanitize high touch points on the scooters, bikes, and cars every time a device is serviced.
- Signage and in-app messaging will remind riders to continue practicing sanitary habits like riding with gloves, wiping down devices before riding/driving, washing hands, and avoiding face touching.
- Seattle’s scooter and bike share rental companies offer free or reduced scooter and bike share rentals for people who are income-qualified.
