SDOT construction, street closures, and travel impacts

  • Denny Way lane closures (Denny Way Paving Project)
    • In the coming weeks, there will be short-term lane and sidewalk closures along Denny Way between Taylor Ave and Westlake Ave.
    • We will be installing devices that detect vehicles at intersections, and we will be pouring concrete for sidewalks.
  • Eastlake lane reductions & detours (RapidRide J Line Project)
    • We will maintain a lane of traffic in each direction along Eastlake Ave E, but people travelling along Eastlake Ave E will experience ongoing lane shifts at work zones.
  • Construction in Fremont (Route 40 Project)
    • Construction on Phinney Ave N and N 36th St has started. We will be performing stormwater work, trenching across the street for electrical conduit installation, and making sidewalk and curb ramp upgrades.
    • Neighbors can expect slight delays and detours for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists while crews trench throughout the work zone.
