Revive I-5 construction – what to expect

  • July 18-21: A full weekend closure of northbound I-5 from I-90 to NE 45th St, begins Friday night, July 18.
  • July 21-August 15: Two northbound lanes closed across the I-5 Ship Canal Bridge for about four weeks.
  • August 15-18: Another full weekend closure of northbound I-5 from I-90 to NE 45th St.
  • During these closures: The I-5 Express Lanes will remain open northbound. Expect delays if you drive. Avoid the traffic – ride transit, bike, walk, or share a ride.
  • Coming in 2026-2027: More long-term lane closures on I-5.
