Let’s Hear it for the Cure!

No, we haven’t scheduled an alternative rock concert, but we have completed the final closure pour!  What’s this, you say?  You know, that last pour of concrete to close the gap between the new eastbound 4th Avenue S off-ramp and the South Spokane Street Viaduct…the work that’s got the right-hand eastbound lane of the upper roadway closed.  The concrete takes approximately two weeks to cure, then crews will place an epoxy coat on the roadway and stripe it.  So, if you don’t see crews out and about much on site this week and next, know that everything’s OK – the cure just needs some privacy (i.e. no activity on the material as it’s solidifying).  While you wait, enjoy this aerial photo of the project, taken July 31st:
