After the thunder and lightning ended this morning, I saw my neighbor out in the rain raking leaves out of the street. As I passed him I said “Wow, you are dedicated!”. He said “Hey, you have to seize your moment…and I love to see the river of water flowing down the street and into the drain after you clear the leaves.”
While we blogged about clearing the storm drains before, we couldn’t pass up this inspirational story (I wish I had gotten a picture).
While most of us wouldn’t go out in the pouring rain, now that the weather has cleared…see if you can turn any street puddles into streams. If you want to make it official, the City’s Adopt a Drain program gives you technique and tools. Thanks for all you do!
