Crews install a sewer line under Dexter Avenue.
This week, crews continued landscaping work on Valley Street between Fairview Avenue North and Ninth Avenue North. Construction activities also continued on the north side of Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North and the east side of SR 99 between Valley and Harrison streets.
Activities this week included:
- Completed sidewalk restoration on Valley Street between Ninth Avenue North and Fairview Avenue North.
- Continued landscaping on Westlake Avenue North and Valley Street.
- Continued sidewalk work and conduit installation on the north side of Mercer Street between Queen Anne Avenue North and Fifth Avenue North.
- Continued sidewalk improvements on Roy Street at Fifth Avenue North.
- Continued installing concrete panels on the north retaining wall on Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.
- Continued installing utilities on the south side of Mercer Street between Fifth Ave N and Aurora Avenue North.
- Continued work on the north and south ends of the east side of the SR 99 bridge.
- Continued electrical work along the south side of Mercer Street between Eighth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.
As a reminder, closures on SR 99 will occur this weekend, Friday Nov. 8 – Monday, Nov. 11 for WSDOT and SDOT related work.
- Northbound SR 99 will be closed between South Spokane Street and Valley Street from 10:00 p.m. tonight to 5:00 a.m. Monday.
- Southbound SR 99 will be closed from the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel to Spokane Street from 10:00 p.m. tonight to 5:00 a.m. Monday.
- Southbound SR 99 will be reduced to one lane between Highland Drive and the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel from 10:00 p.m. tonight to 5:00 a.m. Monday.
