LEVY DOLLARS AT WORK | Thank you for celebrating with us! New bike lanes, paving, and more around Green Lake are some of the most significant investments made with your Levy tax dollars.

We were pleased to welcome almost 40 neighbors of all ages on an inaugural bike ride from the Woodland Park Zoo to the Green Lake Community Center.

At the Community Center, we met with people to share information about the improvements, hand out bike lights, and cookies from Urban Bakery!

We want to say a big “thank you!” to our event partners: Seattle Parks and Recreation, who created a mobile playground, and Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, who had a table at the event and offered refreshments to people walking and biking by.

Reminder: We are also hosting a week-long scavenger hunt to explore all the multi-modal improvements made around Green Lake and Wallingford!

Graphic with map and information about celebratory event for completion of the Green Lake and Wallingford Paving and Multi-modal Improvements project.

The scavenger hunt ends August 8. To enter, post a photo of yourself completing any of the scavenger hunt activities with the hashtag #GreenLakeScavenger on Twitter or Instagram to be entered to win a gift card to a local, participating business. Learn more here.

These improvements around Green Lake together make up the Green Lake and Wallingford Paving and Multi-modal Improvements Project, one of the most significant investments of your Levy to Move Seattle tax dollars!

Read more about the project and see photos here.

We are grateful to every partner, neighbor, and community member who made this project possible, and welcome you to enjoy the shiny new bike lanes, intersections, streets, and more.
