The pictures speak for themselves – although this was considered a “small project,” it made a big difference to the neighborhood. The project was requested by a resident and built by SDOT with funding from the Neighborhood Projects Fund. The fund is a city-administered program that works with communities to prioritize and build neighborhood projects. The improvements were made on the south side of S Dawson Street from 37th Avenue S to Renton Avenue S which is located near the Columbia City business district. For this project, SDOT installed a concrete sidewalk with concrete driveway approaches.
