SDOT Best of the Month | Reflecting on Bike Everywhere Month

We celebrated Bike Everywhere Month here at SDOT and with our partners and neighbors across the city.

Days are continuing to get warmer and longer, and bike lanes are popping up everywhere! Watch our Celebrate Bike Everywhere Month With Us video and take a peek at all the new bike facilities we’ve built over the past few years, thanks to your Levy to Move Seattle dollars at work.

Also, in case you missed it: Cascade Bicycle Club’s Pedaling Relief Project delivers pedal-powered food and goods to neighbors in need.

Since May 2020, volunteers through the Pedaling Relief Project have rescued and delivered 240,000 pounds of food – among much more – to neighbors and students across the city. They’re working on expanding to Tacoma and other communities in Washington this year!

Recently, the Pedaling Relief Project and Cascade’s Major Taylor Project, which empowers youth through bicycling, partnered to deliver food and goods to Little Free Pantries in White Center. Photo Credit: King County Parks.
