2025 was another major year for the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) as we served your everyday travel needs while working to maintain and modernize our city streets, sidewalks, bridges, and more.
Meanwhile, we’re gearing up for another huge year in 2026, as Seattle prepares to host FIFA World Cup games and advance projects large and small to move our city forward. We’re excited to deliver on our commitments in the 20-year Seattle Transportation Plan while harnessing funding support from voter-approved Seattle Transportation Levy. Thank you, Seattle! You can learn about our work in this blog post.

Thank you
We’ll continue to work tirelessly in the new year to keep you moving safely and smoothly across every Seattle neighborhood, even as major events and large-scale construction projects like WSDOT’s Revive I-5 bridge preservation work and Sound Transit’s light rail system expansion move forward. Thank you for reading, and we wish you a happy new year.
